Yes, Valentine's Day is around the corner. What has long been known as a romantic day celebrated by couples (it actually has a bit of a murky history - but we won't get into that), has evolved into an event for everyone to celebrate love and friendship. Enter: 'Galentine's Day', as coined by Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope. Every February, we love to observe the best made-up holiday of the year. This year, we're celebrating by sharing our favourite local female-run businesses (que "I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy), and we hope you will spread the love too. After all, what is better than women celebrating women? (Nothing!)
