believe that beauty products should be glamorous and sexy. But, as anyone with common sense would agree, you
shouldn't risk your health for glamor! And more importantly - you shouldn't need to. What goes
onto your skin should actually be good for it. And we mean that.
The journey for safe cosmetics can be a confusing one. We want to make this as clear of an experience for our customers as possible. Pure glam is our philosophy and here is how it works...
We
don't cut corners. We source the safest, most effective products from
brands across North America. We have strict buying guidelines, and
research the ingredients of every single product before we
commit to selling them. We also stay on top of new research as it as available. We also err on the side of caution. Many ingredients are suspected to be toxic, but many have not been proven. So we like to keep things as simple as possible, and source items that have the purest and simplest ingredients as possible.
Products must qualify in each of the two pure glam categories:
a) pure - FREE of suspected or known carcinogens, suspected or known hormone disruptors, synthetic fragrance, harsh ingredients that are damaging for the skin, and animal testing. This list actually goes on and on. Please see our buying guidelines section for a complete overview.
b) glam - It's gotta work! There is no sense selling pure cosmetics that are not effective. What's the point in spending the money? So all products are tested by our team and are proven to work. All this talk about cancer causing ingredients can really take the fun out of makeup. So, we source products that are effective, but that also have that 'glam' factor we are looking for.
Ultimately, we are here to offer choice, selection, and healthier alternatives that really work. Everyone has their own motivation when it comes to sourcing out safer cosmetics, and everyone must assess what it is that is important to them.
